I stamped a love letter for you and I can still smell the ink on my fingers.
“I love you more than my own skin and even though you don’t love me the same way, you love me anyways, don’t you? And if you don’t, I’ll always have the hope that you do, and i’m satisfied with that. Love me a little. I adore you.”
― Frida Kahlo
This is part of a letter written by the mexican painter Frida Kahlo to her husband Diego Rivera on 23rd July, 1935.
I find the italic versions very special and unique.
Sometimes love can be a mess.
